Vandam, NYC Dining 2001 (Unfolds/Pop-Up Series)
Published in Paperback by VanDam Inc. (December, 2000)
Average review score:

Compact & easy to use
This is one of the most helpful tools to navigate New York City. It is easy to read, with the subway stations very well marked. I was in the city for the first time with my 11 year old son, and we were both able to use this without any problems. It also fits into most pockets or purses. A+.

A great hiker's guide to Cape Cod

The book's detailed descriptions and clear maps of dozens of hikes of varying length and character make it easy to find the kind of places you want and navigate them easily. Don't leave home without it!

Walks and Rambles in Rhode Island: 40 Trails for Birders and Nature Lovers
Published in Paperback by Countryman Pr (01 April, 1999)
Author: Ken Weber
Average review score:

You won't believe Rhode Island has so many great walks!
Ken Weber has done an excellent job describing these walks. His descriptions and difficulty assessments are usually dead on correct, so you can easily judge which hike to take and how hard it will be. I have done most of the hikes in this book in 2001, and the 3rd edition is quite up to date. The companion book is excellent too (More Walks and Rambles in Rhode Island).

Warrior in Two Camps: Ely S. Parker, Union General and Seneca Chief (Iroquois Book)
Published in Paperback by Syracuse University Press (May, 1990)
Author: William H. Armstrong
Average review score:

The best book I've found on Parker yet
William Armstrong invested much time and energy into this book. Factual, including an outiline of Parkers life and accomplishments. Armstong includes many pictures and historical references. Highly recommended for anyone interested in New York State History or the Seneca Indians. Ely Parker rose above the prejudices of society and became a man of both worlds. Hurray for Armstrong, who has developed a book worthy of The Last Grand Sachem of the Iroquois.
